If you are like me, you enjoy window shopping for ideas! Ideas and ideas only. The reason I say that is because when I find something I think is hot, I’ll take a look the price tag and most of the time immediately return it to the rack. It’s because I’m thinking to myself, “This is cute, but way too simple for that amount of money!” Then I’m like, “what a minute, I can make this!” I then proceed to inspect it; put it under my microscope; examine the ins and outs; how it was constructed. And then I continue on window shopping, not making any major purchase unless its absolutely worth it. When I get home I quickly pull out my laptop to begin my research. I Google and check my favorite clothing sites for similar items and when I find items that are similar I zoom in on the details, looking at all angles available to me. And after much research, deep thinking, and mental construction, I’m finally ready for my idea to be brought to life! And that is exactly what I did for this little short set I recently created.
Summer wear crop top and high-waisted peplum short set. I used a light blue stretchy denim fabric with poke dots and flowers that I purchased from Joann Fabric and Craft Store.
|To switch it up I paired the shorts with a jean vest that was a past DIY Goodwill project.|
